GH CAN Leadership – Daily Check – In

1.      Welcome

2.      Agency Updates around COVID – 19

a.      General updates to staffing changes

                                                    i.     State is working on identifying hotels. Balloon payment

1.      Hotels are not willing to come down on rate – can someone else pay the difference?

2.      Matt and Amanda looking into other towns for hotels – Windsor

                                                   ii.     HUD changes have been sent out – write to field office 2 days before using a waiver – can start today, this needs to be submitted

                                                 iii.     Are we further decreasing any barriers for housing? Working on with DOH and Housing innovations, and DMHAS.

                                                 iv.     FMR

                                                   v.     Internal RAP – JDA can process, case by case

1.      Disability verification has been waived – self verification.

                                                 vi.     Super Waiver needs to be submitted 2 days before use – 60 K from Mercy, looking for families and individuals – email from Lisa to go out to agencies informing them about this opportunity – Needs to be used by June 30th – can pay in advance, security deposit from a different fund. We can pick prioritization.

1.      How many people can we house?

a.      Some income to sustain

b.     New opportunities to be added to a sheet to be shared with agencies

c.      Prioritization to be determined

                                                vii.     Still have over 20K for Rapid Exit – can pay up to 3 months, some arrearages – 1 time payment – info sheet to be sent out

                                              viii.     Any clients waiting to be tested or have been tested?  

3.      Serving the Unsheltered Population During COVID – 19

a.      How will we identify who is most vulnerable, how should we prioritize?  

                                                    i.     We do not have anything available

4.      Reach out to Daniel from Beacon if anyone needs to be assessed

a.      Providing detox to those who are being quarantined – if positive or symptomatic- TBD discussing with intercommunity. Feedback will be provided soon to Amanda.

5.      Working on plan for those who are newly homeless – discussion to continue
