GH CAN Leadership – Daily Check – In

1.      Welcome

2.      Agency Updates around COVID – 19

a.      Need a plan for discharges from hotel – 1 person so far. Hotel discharges vs. us asking people to leave – should this be a discussion with all of Leadership for 4/1/2020?

                                                    i.     Can resolve on daily calls – does not need to be a full leadership discussion

                                                   ii.     2 discharges so far – due to conduct  

                                                  iii.     Weekly leadership for support if there is a discharge

                                                  iv.      Some discharges can be preventable

                                                   v.     Take back to shelter? Can not keep site open for those who have been discharged

1.      Possibly move them to another hotel and discuss rules

2.      Warming center is not an option

3.      Need to communicate with clients that there is nowhere else to go if they are discharged

4.      Received a list of expectations and have signed off on it

b.      No concerns at Cornerstone with 4 clients in hotels

c.      State has agreed to pay for hotels

                                                    i.     Discussion with shelter providers

                                                   ii.     SPI, McKinney and a few families from EH will relocate guest to hotels

                                                  iii.     Waiting to determine payment information

                                                  iv.     Issues around what to consider

                                                   v.     DOH lock down shelters – people need permission to go to appointments

                                                  vi.     If they choose to leave they can not come back

                                                vii.     Warming Center will operate as a shelter – 40 beds only, only Greater Hartford residents – need to be confirmed

1.      Anyone not from Hartford are being turned away

d.      60 people in hotels most are elderly and immunocompromised clients

                                                    i.     1 person on staff per shift to monitor

                                                   ii.     Recruiting for more staff

e.      Food is being provided for clients in shelter

f.       SO – need to move due to families coming into hotels

g.      Collaborative staffing model

h.      Supply pick up for agencies can pick up from Amanda

3.      Proposed time for daily check – in for tomorrow

a.      12-12:30 or 4-4:30

                                                    i.     Schedule for 12-12:30 moving forward
